Modifying DLL files may corrupt the files, rendering Windows inoperative. However, do not attempt to modify any DLL file, unless you know what you are doing. You can also open the DLLs using a text editor like Notepad.
You are free to view the DLL files as much as you want. Now Windows will arrange the DLL files in the folder side by side, allowing you to view those more comfortably. Select the option “Arrange Icons By”, and then click on the option “Type”. If you cannot spot the DLL files at first sight, right click on an empty space inside the System32 folder. You will be able to see all DLL files of your Windows OS. Inside it you will find a folder named System32. Now navigate to the drive partition where Windows is installed. 
This will display the extensions of all files in your PC, allowing you to easily identify the DLL files.
Uncheck the box below these options which says “Hide file extensions for known file types”. The option just above this option (Do not show hidden files and folders) will become deselected automatically. Scroll down the list till you come to the option “Show hidden files and folders”. In the window that opens, click on the tab named View. If you wish to view the files anyway, do the following: These are regarded as critical system files and the operating system will keep these hidden from view. You cannot view DLL files under normal circumstances. In worst cases, Windows may fail to boot up altogether. When a DLL files goes missing or becomes corrupted, Windows will fail to load the services dependant on that DLL file. These files are loaded into the memory during booting by the operating system itself. I am just stuck and I don't know what to do.DLL files are executable files that are used by operating systems to run most essential services and system tasks. changing bios settings(reverted them back when I saw it wasnt working) f8 loading into safe mode does not working(same blue screen for like 1/10th of a second ALt F 10(It doesn't give me the correct boot menu for some reason just some text) My mother gave me her old acer aspire laptop in order for me to install XP on it cause she had windows 7 installed and its an old one and it was designed for XP.(it was very slow but working)So i put windows XP on a USB and made it bootable via RUFUS 3.6 and afterwards I tried changing the boot priority options to usb which didn't load but removing the USB I am now stuck in an infinite start up loop and I tried almost everything I could find.The computer starts off once goes to the first loading screen - I get a blue screen which I can't read and than it turns off with the option of launching start up repair.When I launch start up repair it says windows is loading files- after that loads I get a blue screen of death and an error message saying I should change the lighting or the computer has a virus.
